Made from Stellenbosch grapes, the grapes were basket pressed. The Semillon was fermented in barrel and spent 7 months in barrel on the thick lees before blended with unwooded Sauvignon blanc. It should develop beautifully over the next two years. Shows crisp acidity and beautiful complexity.
It is a pale-yellow straw colour with green flashes when held up to the light. This zesty wine is full generous ripe fruit aromas, ripe white fleshed peaches with grassy undertones. From entry, this wine is a total joy. The palate shows lively green apple and citrus with a soft mid-palate and a refreshing finish. Fabulous Sauvignon fruit, sweet limes, melon, mango. The Semillon gives it weight in the palate and well-integrated oak, to add a rich creamy taste. Perfect food wine.
